Hi - Sodium lauryl sulfate (chemically modified to sodium laureth sulfate) may be derived from petroleum- or vegetable-based sources. Vegetable sources can be palm kernel oil or coconut oil. The ingredient's source is included if the manufacturer discloses it; otherwise, it is entered without a source. Please let us know if we can help with other questions at [email protected].

I'm seeing a lot of products that contain SLS, which is derived from coconut, being listed as Coconut-free... This is clearly not accurate.. As someone who is highly allergic to all coconut-derived ingredients, it would be very much appreciated if this was fixed.

user1670599512, if using the app, we don't currently show the red *not safe for me* icon so if there is no green *safe for me* icon, then the product is not safe. Our app is outdated and it is currently undergoing a redesign and this issue will be fixed. When I search this on my iPad it shows a sad face and Not Safe for Me. When I search on my iPhone it does not indicate Not Safe for Me. Am I missing something?
