Looking for a trusted way to find products that are safe for your specific skin needs? That's where SkinSAFE comes in. Our groundbreaking platform is the result of close collaboration with the Mayo Clinic, combining real science and real-time clinical data to provide accurate, unbiased product recommendations based on your specific skin concerns or needs. SkinSAFE was created to help shoppers make smarter, better product choices for healthier skin, improving the overall quality of life.
At SkinSAFE, we know that finding safe, effective skincare products can be a challenge. That's why we've developed our expert-verified product ratings system, which uses cutting-edge scientific research and clinical data to help you make informed choices about the right products for your skin. Each product is evaluated based on its ingredient safety profile and potential irritant or allergenic effects, allowing you to easily identify top-rated products free from common allergens and irritants.
The SkinSAFE Markers are grouped into five categories: Condition Specific, Stage Specific, Ingredient Specific, Personalized, and Trusted Choice.
Every day, millions of people across the globe are afflicted by conditions compromising their skin's natural integrity. With 71% of adults saying they have sensitive skin, the need for careful product selection has never been greater.
Products with the SkinSAFE 100 mark have been verified by our team of experts to be free from commonly-known irritants and allergens, making them safe and suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Over 49% of contact skin allergies can be avoided simply by using the SkinSAFE 100-rated products.

EyelidSAFE is our marker for identifying eyelid dermatitis, also known as eyelid eczema, periocular dermatitis, or periorbital dermatitis. This condition refers to inflammation of the skin on and around the eyelids caused by contact with irritants or allergens.
LipSAFE is for inflammation with symptoms of red, dry, scaling, and itchy lips called contact cheilitis. This can be caused by contact with irritants, allergens, or other potential environmental factors. When shopping for lip care products, look for the LipSAFE marker to ensure the product will not cause or exacerbate your condition.

The Trusted Choice™ program elevates this standard by requiring manufacturers to provide scientific and clinical evidence to support product use and safety
These products have been reviewed by the SkinSAFE team and meet the Trusted Choice™ standards for health and safety. Achieving the SkinSAFE Trusted Choice™ seal requires formulas to pass a rigorous data review process that includes skin patch testing, clinical and home use testing on sensitive skin, limitation on or absence of the most common fragrance allergens, and purity of ingredient assessments.
A "BEST" rating means all SkinSAFE 100 standards have been met and verified. A "GOOD" rating means the product may contain light scents along with data supporting the use in those with sensitive skin, along with skin patch testing to validate safety.
Look for the Trusted Choice™ logo when shopping for products to ensure that they meet our standards for safety and efficacy.
