Hi - Thanks so much for your feedback. We have updated SkinSAFE to address the concern. Please allow our database about 24 hours to reprocess all the products to reflect the update. If you have any questions, please reach out to us a [email protected].
The ingredient in question is not in the Strict Balsam of Peru avoidance, which I have.

Cross-reactions may occur to colophony (rosin) found in pine trees, wood and coal tars, resorcin monobenzoate, coniferyl benzoate, Tolu Balsam, storax, propolis, turpentine, benzoin, tomatoes, orange peel, and clove. Some food ingredients found as components or related to Balsam of Peru include benzyl alcohol, benzyl salicylate, benzoic acid (and its derivative sodium benzoate), cinnamic acid, cinnamic alcohol, amylcinnamaldehyde, eugenol (bay rum), isoeugenol and vanillin. Although benzoic acid and sodium benzoate are not used as fragrance ingredients, you may need to avoid these ingredients which are used as preservatives in skin, hair, cosmetic, and food products.
Camellia Senensis Leaf Extract is Tea Plant and generally not a fragrance. If you drink white, green, black, and oolongs teas that is the ingredient.

Abstract
Studies on the cosmetic applications of plant extracts are increasingly appearing in the scientific literature, which is due to the growing popularity of skincare products around the world. In the light of the observed changes, a return to natural treatment and skincare with cosmetics free of harmful substances or toxic preservatives is visible. Currently, tea extracts, due to their rich composition and various biological actions, play an important role among the dietary supplements and cosmetics. This review is intended to collect the reports on the properties of the tea plant, its extracts and preparations in cosmetology: for skin care products and for the treatment of selected dermatological diseases. Particular attention is paid to its antioxidant, anti-hyaluronidase, anti-inflammatory, slimming, hair-strengthening, photoprotective and sealing blood vessels properties.
Keywords: tea plant, skin care cosmetics, dermatology, Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze, catechins, Theaceae
Hi, because through a literature search there were no reports of contact allergy to this ingredient and therefore camellia sinensis leaf extract does not have fragrance as a cross reactor and botanical only as an optional cross reactor. Please email us at [email protected] and we can review possible options for you to be able to exclude this ingredient
Why is Camellia Senensis Leaf Extract not listed as a fragrance or at least taken out when I use my strict Balsam
Of Peru avoidance code? I react to it and I can’t use this extract due to its close relationship with lemon and peppermint. Can it be removed? Thanks!
Hang tight. We're thinking.
