Been using Cleure conditioner for a long time cause of my various contact allergies. It was so nice to find another conditioner I’m not allergic to that works well with my dry and curly (2c to 3a) hair!!

So relieved to find a conditioner that made fine silky hair my hair soft again! And it’s bouncy too. Very nice product sold at Ulta Beauty for $8.00.

Catrinaf, cetearyl alcohol is a *multi-source* ingredient and is often derived from plant-based products. It can be derived from palm, coconut, corn, soy vegetable oil. It can also be made from petroleum derivatives or animal-based sources. Unless the manufacturer specifically lists *coconut*, the ingredient is entered without the source.

I have traced cetearyl alcohol to both bop and coconut. Which this product says is safe of both. I’m allergic to both and had an extreme break out from this.

Milou, this product is rated as bOP free and we are unsure of why a comment was posted that it is related to balsam of Peru and not bOP safe. It's difficult to determine from product ingredients what ingredient may be the culprit. Sometimes your skin doesn't respond well to even products rated as safe. To determine which ingredient is the irritator, you would have to compare the ingredients of the cosmetic products you have: both the ones that bother your skin and the ones that benefit it.

@cat_admin: this product is flagged as safe for me, but I am reacting to it. It is not clear to me which ingredient is causing problems. I am curious why someone else stated it has BoP in it.

Under this section there will be ingredients listed and that is why the product is not safe. The ingredients listed will often not be your exact allergens, but ingredients that are unsafe because of cross reactivity. For further assistance, please send us an email at [email protected] .
