This product has undergone a Trusted Choice review which requires that a company provide independent evidence of the safety (Repeat Insult Patch Testing +/- Clinical Testing), evidence of ingredient purity, and history of patient use and satisfaction. Ingredient purity is really important for users of SkinSAFE and for products that contain botanicals, natural ingredients, and other forms of essential oils. A Trusted Choice awarded product must meet the SkinSAFE standard for metals such as nickel and also be free of allergenic levels of the most common fragrance allergens as defined by the European Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety and the State of California. A product that successfully completes a SkinSAFE Trusted Choice review will either maintain a SkinSAFE 100 (Best for Sensitive Skin) or achieve a SkinSAFE 95+ (Good for Sensitive Skin). As always, SkinSAFE recommends if you have highly sensitive/reactive skin that you choose SkinSAFE 100 and Trusted Choice Best for Sensitive Skin products only.

I looked this product up after receiving the email from SkinSafe saying that this product line is super safe for sensitive skin and meets their high safety standards. It boasts that it’s fragrance free, yet it’s not, which is why it’s not Top Free. How can you back a product that’s not Top Free? It is full of fragrance ingredients like the plethora of botanical oils and extracts it contains. I’m really disappointed that SkinSafe would back this product. It makes me question how much I can trust that they have the best interest of allergy sufferers such as myself in mind.
