komedia, unless a company specifically says that they use coconut as a basis for their caprylic glucoside, the ingredient is entered without the source.

It shouldn’t be marked as coconut free. Caprylyl glucoside is produced by the reaction of glucose from corn with the fatty alcohol capric alcohol, which is obtained from coconut and/or palm oil. Since the manufacturer didn’t specify which oil was used I would be careful.
