What is it?

Epoxy acrylates are acrylate oligomers cured using ultraviolet light or electron beam. Epoxy acrylates offer the advantages of fast cure, excellent adhesion, chemical resistance, high gloss, and good strength and toughness.

How can I avoid it?

You should avoid any contact with this substance. Avoidance requires reading labels, package inserts, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and, on occasion, direct communication with the manufacturer.Epoxy acrylate compounds, in which cross-linking is accomplished by ultraviolet light or electron beam, expose workers to both epoxy and acrylate sensitization.

Uses:

  • Adhesives
  • Overprint coatings for graphic arts
  • Plastic relief
  • Precision-processing of metals
  • Printing inks
  • Printed circuit boards
  • Varnishes and  paints

Potential cross reacting/co-reacting substances:

  • Other acrylates

How safe is it?

Hang tight. We're thinking.
