Product Description
A non-medicated shampoo for sensitive skin. It effectively cleans both hair and scalp. Helps remove flaking and scaling and controls oily scalp. Removes build-up from conditioners, hairsprays, and other hair care products. Leaves hair clean and manageable.
To unify the brand and help eliminate confusion, the name of this product has changed to Vanicream™ Shampoo. While there is a new name on the outside, it is the same great formula on the inside!

The shampoo is horribly drying and the conditioner leaves a weird coating that causes breakage

This shampoo does not cause a reaction but is incredibly drying on my short, fine-textured hair. The conditioner also does nothing to moisturize my hair.

Vanicream should make a leave in conditioner detangler
It helps my hair but the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair a frizzy mess

Free & Clear shampoo was recommended by my dermatologist for my itchy scalp with hair loss, which she diagnosed as alopecia areata. For about the first six months of use, the itching did subside a bit; but when I started on the second bottle, the itching and hair loss returned with a vengeance. On the rare occasion I do use Free & Clear, it now causes more irritation and hair loss than any of the others I have tried in the past year. I just discovered SkinSAFE today, and it is very disappointing that Free & Clear shampoo is rated 100% skin safe.

Left my hair dry and staticy. The conditioner left my hair flat and dirty looking. My hair looked terrible but my scalp wasn't reacting.
Shampoo makes a good body wash though.
