Product Description

Cracked, chafed or extremely dry skin needs special care, and a healing ointment or balm that helps hydrate and soothe the skin can offer fast relief. A balm formulated with petrolatum, hyaluronic acid and ceramides provides extra hydration and replenishes the skin’s barrier while helping to temporarily protect and relieve chafed, chapped or cracked skin. It’s important to look for a non-irritating balm when treating compromised skin, and CeraVe Healing Ointment is free of ingredients like lanolin, fragrance and preservatives.

CeraVe Healing Ointment is formulated to temporarily protect, soothe and hydrate skin as it recovers from cracking, chafing, extreme dryness or injuries such as burns, scrapes and cuts. The lightweight yet intensely hydrating formula features three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid in a moisturizing petrolatum base. This balm is also non-comedogenic so it’s suitable for all skin types, and free of fragrance, preservatives, dyes and lanolin to minimize the risk of irritation—and it can be used as lip care, too.

I just started using this ointment and I already am pleased with it. I typically use moisturizing creams as I don't think lotions work as well. This product is perfect for my skin sensitivities as it does not contain the ingredients I am sensitive to. I have a lot of skin sensitive issues. Hopefully this will continue to work for me.

Komedia, phenoxyethanol is a *multi-source* ingredient & is not always derived from coconut. If the manufacturer does not disclose the source it's derived from, we enter it without a source.

It shouldn’t be marked as coconut free. It has phenoxyethanol which is a coconut derivative. I have coconut allergy and I can’t use this product. Please remove the marking as coconut-free.

Does not work as well as aquaphor BUT this does not contain Lanolin which Aquaphor does! So if you are allergic to Lanolin like me, this is the better choice.

This is the newer formula. It doesn’t seem to work as well :(
Hang tight. We're thinking.
